Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus (DPT) Segment to Register Highest CAGR During 2021–2028

According to our latest research study, titled "Global Travel Vaccines Market Forecast to 2028 – COVID-19 Impact and Analysis – by Product and Application," the market is expected to reach US$ 5,914.22 million by 2028 from US$ 3,078.94 million in 2021. It is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 9.8% from 2021 to 2028. The report highlights trends prevailing in the market and factors governing its growth. The rapid growth of the travel and tourism sector, prevention of transnational infections, and the rising incidence of infectious diseases contribute to the market’s progress. However, the high cost of travel vaccines hinders the market's growth.

Based on product, the travel vaccines market is segmented into hepatitis A, hepatitis B, meningococcal vaccines, diphtheria pertussis tetanus (DPT), yellow fever, typhoid, Japanese encephalitis, measles mumps & rubella, rabies, polio, influenza, varicella & shingles, cholera, and others. The hepatitis A segment is expected to account for the largest market share during the period of 2021–2028, while the DPT segment is expected to have the most significant growth over the forecast period, adding to the travel vaccines market size.

Based on application, the travel vaccines market is segmented into domestic travel and outbound travel. The outbound travel segment held the leading share of the market in 2021. It is likely to continue its dominance over the market during the forecast period. The same segment is expected to have the highest CAGR during the forecast period as well.

During the pre-pandemic era, the status of travelers getting the travel vaccine was The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the global health economies and has significantly pressurized the healthcare infrastructure across the world. As major healthcare infrastructures were focused on treating COVID-19 patients, significant restrictions were imposed on domestic and international travel.

As the emergency medical services were the first responders to the COVID-19-related patient response, proper training, awareness, and safety were primary goals to ensure prompt emergency services and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. For instance, GINA Software and Beta 80 started the First RESPonse project in July 2020 to help citizens and healthcare professionals, such as ambulances dispatchers, first responders, and hospitals in Italy, deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak, causing increased workload on ambulances and premedical services. The project comprised COVID-19 first responders field software (for tablets in ambulances), situation dashboard (management tool), Where Are U app upgrade (public awareness tool), and integration to the emergency control room in Italy.

Early warning and vulnerability alert tools were also incorporated in many hospitals and healthcare facilities to provide better patient care as per their condition and early warning score. For instance, the GE Early Warning Score was used in GE B105/B125 patient monitor for COVID-19 patients to determine the monitoring frequency. The scoring system aided in overall patient treatment management. Cerner FirstNet was another solution used during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was applied for the curbside testing of patients during the pandemic. The testing sites used the solution's tracking lists to maintain queues and document the patient's progress through the testing process, which helped healthcare providers to use the results to track patient follow-ups. Pulsara partnered with Premier Health in Dayton, Ohio, US, and provided its mobile communications platform for stroke patients to help emergency medical service agencies when they arrive with suspected COVID-19 patients. The solution aided in the easier handoff of patients at hospitals. Similar solutions and software were adopted or developed by emergency medical service agencies to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the travel vaccines market is expected to grow during the pandemic.

Quark Software; Sun Ridge Systems, Inc.; Trapeze Group; Cerner Corporation; GE Healthcare; CENTRALSQUARE; Traumasoft; AngelTrack LLC; EMIS Health; MEDHOST; and EPIC EMS are the leading companies in the travel vaccines market.
