In Mexico, mycoplasmosis is currently controlled by vaccination and antibiotic metaphylaxis. The only vaccine used in the country against MS is the MS-H strain. Other antibiotics with poor sensitivity, such as amphenicols and tetracyclines, are mainly used in combination to treat CCRD. Vaccination and treatments mainly focus on broiler breeders because Mycoplasma spp. are primarily vertically transmitted from hen to chick. The rising cases of mycoplasma, newcastle disease, and highly pathogenic avian flu and the increasing consumption of chicken meat in Mexico boost the poultry diagnostics market growth in the country.
